Our last stop before leaving was Entalula Island, one of El Nido’s gems. Its powdery white sand lay quietly beneath towering limestone cliffs, while the water stayed crystal clear even as the sky turned gray with rain. I don’t usually swim during my stay, but here I did; wanting to truly feel the calm and beauty of this place, not just see it.

Bucas Grande in Surigao is home to serene lagoons surrounded by lush limestone hills, their waters so calm they mirror the sky above. I spent the day taking photos but felt something was missing, so I stayed behind in the afternoon for a better shot and even returned the next day. Still, it didn’t feel right until I realized the photos from that first afternoon already captured it perfectly, with the clouds reflecting like a painting on the lagoon.

Caramoan in Camarines Sur is a place of hidden wonders, where limestone cliffs guard secret lagoons and quiet beaches. I arrived at Tayak Lake around 8 a.m., alone with the boat captain, greeted by calm waters and soft morning light. The islands unfolded like a labyrinth, each turn revealing beauty that felt untouched and timeless. Caramoan is full of discoveries like this; moments of silence, stories in the landscape, and a kind of beauty that reveals itself only when you’re truly present.

I woke up early in El Nido to reach this island. From the town, I rode a tricycle while the driver waited. It was a quiet morning, and this scene felt like a reward for rising before the day began.

Coron is known for its towering limestone cliffs and emerald waters, a place that feels both dramatic and serene. By 10 a.m., the sky had turned heavy and gray, with clouds slowly closing in. I thought the rain would end my shots, but it held off just long enough. Flying my drone in that moody light, in the calm before the rain, was exactly the atmosphere I love to capture.

In Coron, I was about to land my drone when I noticed the boats lined neatly below. Their quiet order on the water was an unplanned scene worth capturing.

Big Lagoon is one of El Nido’s most iconic spots, known for its turquoise waters framed by towering limestone cliffs. My first time here was unforgettable, and coming back alone felt just as rewarding. Gliding across the clear waters, this place reminded me why it holds such a special meaning to me.
